Canadiens' Ivan Demidov Leaves Game Following Slash from Nick Cousins
The night took a worrying turn for the Montreal Canadiens as Ivan Demidov left the game after a one-handed slash, according to reporter Renaud Lavoie.

It was Nick Cousins who delivered the slash, a frankly unnecessary move.
I must admit I'm really frustrated to see this kind of gesture. It was cheap and absolutely unnecessary.

These fans had plenty to cheer for with the team's collective play, but Demidov's exit completely changes the tone of the matchup.
