Between the Canadiens' big win and the Blue Jays' triumph, the Bell Centre locker room was buzzing - though it seems not everyone was rooting for Toronto.

The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays gave local sports fans two big reasons to celebrate, almost at the same time.
While Jakub Dobes and his teammates were sealing a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres, the Jays came back to beat the Seattle Mariners thanks to a three-run homer from George Springer, earning their first World Series appearance since 1993.
"WE'RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!" - Blue Jays
And believe it or not, those two moments actually came together inside the Habs' locker room.
According to Josh Anderson, the players didn't wait long after the Canadiens' win before turning their attention to the baseball game.
"When Springer hit that home run, we were pretty fired up!" said the Canadiens forward after the game.

Josh Anderson reveals that Cole Caufield isn't converted just yet

The mood was clearly festive, but not everyone was fully "Team Jays" just yet.
When asked if it's hard to convince non-Canadian players to support Toronto, Anderson laughed and said:
"I think we've got a lot of guys on the bandwagon now. I know Cole (Caufield) is pretty sad, but I think he's slowly hopping on the wagon."

A funny little story - Caufield, a loyal Milwaukee Brewers fan, apparently found himself a bit alone in the room after that famous «Springer Dinger.»
We even remember that Cole Caufield threw the ceremonial first pitch at a Milwaukee Brewers game last year:

A perfect night for Canadian sports

Between the Canadiens' strong performance and the Blue Jays' historic comeback, it was a night to remember.
The Habs got key contributions from Slafkovsky, Hutson, Evans, and especially Jakub Dobes.
When hockey and baseball collide like that, it makes for a night full of energy, pride - and a true Canadian vibe!
I've got a little feeling that Cole might have a hard time not cheering for the Jays against the Dodgers!
