After an explosive game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators at the Videotron Centre, Ivan Demidov had left the game with a hand injury.

But a new update from Elliotte Friedman changes the tone around the young forward and reassures everyone.
Concern was very high for all Canadiens fans Tuesday night.
During a sequence where Nick Cousins delivered a vicious stick hit, Ivan Demidov left the ice in pain.
Dangerous plays kept piling up between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators, and Demidov's loss seemed to shake the team even more.
By the end of the game, many fans were already fearing that Demidov's injury was serious.
I admit I also thought it was bad news, as the scene looked very alarming.

Elliotte Friedman Reassures About Demidov's Health

This morning, Elliotte Friedman brought a huge sigh of relief.
In a message posted on his X account, he wrote:
"Don't believe there's any long-term injury concern for Demidov after the slash he took last night" - Elliotte Friedman
This statement changes the atmosphere around the Montreal Canadiens.
Demidov, who is already impressing with his talent and creativity, should be able to continue his normal development and integration with the club.
"The Canadiens will provide an official update on Ivan Demidov's health status tomorrow. The guys are off today - and playing golf.

Everyone I've spoken to isn't worried about Demidov. He was in pain and it seems they preferred to protect him.

However, let's wait for the official information tomorrow.." - Maxime Truman
"Martin St-Louis confirms that he has no concerns about Demidov's current health status." - Guillaume Quimper
And as several fans have repeated on social media, Canadiens supporters literally let out a huge sigh of relief.
Personally, I'm happy to read this, and I'm looking forward to seeing the intensity of Saturday's (rematch) game.
