Extremely moving scene involving Patrice Bergeron
The Bruins, who had taken a 3-1 lead in their series, thought they would advance to the second round, but the Florida Panthers came back to win the last three games.
A goal by Carter Verhaeghe in overtime sealed the outcome of Game 7, putting an end to Patrice Bergeron's and his team's magnificent season.
We witnessed a heartbreaking scene a few minutes after the Bruins' elimination, as Patrice Bergeron took the time to embrace each of his teammates before greeting the TD Garden crowd.
The 37-year-old forward may have just played his last game in the NHL, and the scene is simply difficult to watch.
There is a lot of uncertainty as to whether the Quebecer will return to the Bruins next season. His farewells certainly felt like goodbyes to the fans.
It's very difficult to see the Quebecer so emotional! However, one thing is certain, he can be very proud of his brilliant career!
