The Quebec Remparts had an exceptional season, finishing first in the QMJHL with an impressive record of 53-12-3. Patrick Roy's team is also on fire during the playoffs, having swept the Charlottetown Islanders and the Rimouski Oceanic in the first two rounds. The Remparts notably won 5-2 against the Gatineau Olympiques to take a 1-0 lead in their semi-final.
Although the head coach had hinted that he would not return next year and that his counterpart, Simon Gagné, would take the reins of the team, Patrick Roy made a surprise statement on BPM Sports, mentioning that he could possibly be behind the Remparts' bench next year.
