Joshua Roy has a lot to say about his presence in Laval
When he was cut from the Montreal Canadiens' training camp a few weeks ago, Joshua Roy received a good reality check.
While the majority of experts expected to see the young forward from Beauce start the season in Montreal, Roy instead returned to the American Hockey League to learn his lessons.
And let's say that things are going really well for Habs' fifth-round pick in 2021.
In his meetings with the Laval Rocket, he collected ten points, including seven goals and the Canadien's AHL team leads its division with a record of eight wins and only one loss so far this season.
That said, it's his appearance on RDS that has been the talk of the town in recent hours.
As reported by the site Habsolumentfan.com, Joshua Roy was on the show on 5 to 7 and the latter showed great maturity by accepting his fate within the Canadiens organization.

Very interesting words from the 21-year-old young man who proves beyond any doubt that he recognizes that he still has more to eat to prove that he is an NHL player.
Words which recall those of a certain Max Pacioretty in 2010-2011 when he was transferred to the American League during training camp. The latter declared that if he received a call from the big club, it was to stay in the big league for good.
We know what happened next for number 67, who had five seasons of 30 or more goals in Montreal.
Obviously I am not comparing Pacioretty to Joshua Roy but the parallel is interesting to draw between the two players because like the former Habs captain, Roy has very good offensive qualities and he could establish himself for good in the NHL during his next encore.
