Dylan Holloway collapses on the bench and there is total concern in St-Louis
We witnessed a very disturbing scene on Tuesday night, as Dylan Holloway collapsed on the bench after receiving a puck directly to the neck.
It's a really bizarre scene, as he continued his presence for several seconds and even almost scored a goal.
It was upon his return to the bench that he needed trainers and finally collapsed. He had a lot of trouble breathing and ended up in an ambulance.
«Dylan Holloway is in an ambulance heading to hospital after being hit in the neck by a puck.
Both teams left the ice with about a minute left in the first period and everyone retreated to the locker room. » - B/R Open Ice
It's certain that a scene like this is never pleasant and the best thing to do is to send everyone to the locker room.
It looks like everything was fine on the way to the hospital. Holloway was conscious and in stable condition.
«UPDATE: Dylan Holloway is alert and in stable condition. He is taken to the hospital for continued monitoring and further evaluation. » - St. Louis Blues
We never like to see this kind of scene, but we are really happy to know that he is OK under the circumstances.
Holloway has agreed to sign an offer with the Blues this summer. The Oilers did not match the offer and he left for St. Louis.
His teammate, Fillip Broberg, also followed and the Oilers lost two important young players to the Blues.
Coming back to the injury, I sincerely hope that Holloway is back on his feet quickly. I hope even more that he wears the neck guard in the future
