Today, an interesting player appeared on NHL waivers: Max Jones, a tough forward for the Boston Bruins.

At 26 years old, the 6-foot-3, 216-pound winger already has solid experience in the League, with 62 points in 262 games.

However, despite his potential, he has not reached the expectations placed on him since his draft in the 1st round by the Anaheim Ducks in 2016 (24th overall).

Could the Montreal Canadiens, who are actively looking to add a character forward, be tempted by this opportunity? To steal a player from the Bruins, maybe!

With a high priority on waivers (29th position), the Canadiens have a real chance of claiming Jones, for free.

Max Jones has all the characteristics that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton like: a robust player, capable of bringing physicality and direct impact in the offensive zone.

His career record is 31 goals, 31 assists and 219 penalty minutes in 262 games. He is capable of playing in a top-6 while bringing a style of play that is difficult to face.

The next few hours will be crucial to determine whether Max Jones will join the ranks of the Canadiens or whether he will find a new destination elsewhere. The case must be followed closely, and the response could arrive as early as tomorrow afternoon.
