During her appearance on the "Solemn" podcast, Élizabeth Rancourt made extremely controversial statements regarding Carey Price. Indeed, she notably mentioned that the Canadiens' goaltender didn't really like hockey and that he was simply looking forward to retiring to go fishing and hunting in British Columbia.
However, the host at TVA Sports didn't stop there. She continued with some very surprising revelations about the break Carey Price took following his injury in 2016.
"It was hiding something very big to the point where the big boss of TVA, not just TVA Sports, mandated the investigative journalists team of the J.E. show to shed light on the situation. The story was too big and there were too many secrets."
She continued by asserting that they had discovered the reasons why Carey Price was absent for almost the entire season, but they did not want to disclose this information for fear of being sued by the goalie.
"We had all the information about why he took a step back. It wasn't just physical! There was something else!"
Wow! This is a major statement that has generated a lot of reactions. However, it is difficult to verify the authenticity of her accusations since Élizabeth Rancourt did not want to give the exact details of the investigation.
If TVA Sports refused to disclose this information, it's probably because it was something much more serious than Carey Price's widely publicized alcohol problems.
One thing's for sure, we didn't expect such a statement from Élizabeth Rancourt.
