With a record of 22 goals and 60 points in 39 games, the young American is currently enjoying a lot of success. Coyotes fans must be eagerly looking forward to seeing him play in Arizona's uniform, however, that won't be next season as originally planned.
Following the infamous vote on a potential arena in Tempe, which was unfortunately rejected, Logan Cooley has decided to spend one more year in college.
According to reported statements, the forward was ready to play in the National Hockey League if the vote had been positive. This was, in his view, the best decision to make for now.
Being rather concerned about this saga with the Coyotes, Cooley reportedly sought advice from Clayton Keller about this situation and the transition between the NCAA and the NHL.
Craig Morgan also reported Logan Cooley's words on Twitter:
However, it must be admitted that it is indeed worrying for the Coyotes to see that the team's future even affects the decisions of the organization's young players, including the franchise's top prospect.
