BREAKING: A major NHL partner files for bankruptcy
One of the official NHL partners has filed for bankruptcy and it really does not look good, as the BioSteel sports drink company files for bankruptcy protection in the United States and Canada.
Since last year, Biosteel has been the main partner in terms of sports drinks, becoming the replacement for Gatorade, which had ended its association after nearly 12 years.
From what we understand, Biosteel's parent company has ceased funding the business's operations, due to significant financial losses. This is therefore likely to unfortunately end the production activities of the refreshing drinks, despite growing popularity.
In addition to being an NHL partner, Biosteel also has several associations with league players, including Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, and Cale Makar.
It seems that Gary Bettman and the National League will possibly have to find a new sports drink sponsor, as BioSteel could be dissolved in the coming weeks or months.
