Boos towards Connor Bedard: The young sensation sends a serious message to Canadiens fans
Last night's game marked the first appearance of young sensation Connor Bedard at the Bell Centre. Moreover, Montreal fans gave him quite a welcome, booing him every time he touched the puck.
A treatment often reserved for former players who have chosen to leave the organization of their own free will or for the best players in the league!
The first overall pick in the last draft commented on the situation after his team's loss, mentioning that he loved it and that it didn't bother him at all.
"No, I loved it. It was great. I hadn't really thought about it before the game. But I found it awesome." - Connor Bedard
Wow! We love the young man's reaction, and it says a lot about his attitude!
Clearly, he is ready to play in the NHL, not at all intimidated by playing in one of the most hostile arenas in the NHL.
Let's just say that those who criticized the Canadiens' fans for this preferential treatment will be much quieter this morning, since he loved the reception he was given at the Bell Centre.
