The rumor had been circulating in recent days, but we now have confirmation, Juraj Slafkovsky will be returning to Montreal in the coming days.
"Juraj Slafkovsky will be returning to Montreal this week. My friend met him at his home before his departure from Slovakia." - Luc Gélinas
The first overall pick in 2022 seems more motivated than ever to bounce back in 2023-2024. Back in his native country after the regular season, the Canadiens' forward trained daily to be ready for the next season.
There is no doubt that spending more time with some teammates who stayed in town like Nick Suzuki and Kaiden Guhle will help the 19-year-old prepare for the training camp.
One thing is certain, the main person concerned seems very confident that he will be able to surpass his performances from last season, him who accumulated a meager total of 10 points in 39 matches.
"I expect the pressure from the fans to be even stronger this season. I think I am well prepared and that I will play better than in my first year. I have my goals, but I will keep them secret." - Juraj Slafkovsky
Wow! We love it!
We are really looking forward to seeing him in action next season!
