Breaking from the Canadiens: A major surprise finds itself in the top line
In the last few minutes, we have just learned some very interesting news ahead of tonight's game. Indeed, the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, will continue experiments to find the ideal combination to complete his top line.
So, none other than Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will be found alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, who will surely try to take advantage of this audition to secure a spot in the Canadiens' top-6. It's worth noting that the Quebecer had tremendous success alongside the captain at the end of last season.
"Rafaël Harvey-Pinard confirms that he will play alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield tonight, for the final preseason game, against the Senators." -Patrick Friolet
It will undoubtedly be very interesting to see how the 24-year-old left winger fares alongside the two talented forwards. Martin St-Louis also confirmed that Samuel Montembeault will play the entirety of the game against the Senators tonight.
While the full lineup is not yet known, Renaud Lavoie has stated that Josh Anderson, Brendan Gallagher, Tanner Pearson, David Savard, Kaiden Guhle, and Johnathan Kovacevic will be left out, thus giving a small idea of the players who will be in uniform.
It will also be the last opportunity for Mattias Norlinder to impress the Habs' top brass in hopes of potentially securing a spot in Martin St-Louis' lineup for the first game of the year.
