Carey Price will Make a Grand Return to the Montreal Canadiens Next Year
According to information that has just surfaced thanks to the excellent journalist Eric Engels, who has covered the Canadiens for many years, Carey Price will make his grand return to the club next year, even though he officially left Montreal with his family a few weeks ago.
Engels adds that he hears that Price will continue to get involved with the organization, before assuming a more official role in 2026, when his contract will end and he will be able to announce his definitive retirement.
"I think Carey Price will be ready to help in any way possible when he is there, but it's unlikely that he will hold any other official roles until his contract expires in 2026.
I believe that Price will be more involved with the Canadiens foundation, even though he and his family moved back to Kelowna, British Columbia, this summer. I know he intends to be very present in Montreal throughout the season.
We'll see what the future holds after that.
Price may be done playing, but I could see him emerging in the field of management, player development, or coaching." - Via Eric Engels
It is always very interesting and pleasant to see such an important member of the organization stay with the club, who marked an entire generation thanks to his feats on the ice.
We are really looking forward to seeing him assume a more important role within the Canadiens, whether as a coach or as an advisor.
