Everyone is starting to eagerly anticipate the resolution of the Pierre-Luc Dubois situation. Given the enormous probabilities of him being traded before the draft, an announcement should possibly be made within the next two weeks. According to numerous experts, the two teams most likely to acquire the Quebecois's services are the Los Angeles Kings and the Montreal Canadiens.

What if the Pierre-Luc Dubois clan had devised a scheme to ensure they land in Montreal? It's a hypothesis just launched by Marc-Olivier Beaudoin on Twitter and it's generating a lot of reactions.

The 24-year-old forward has repeatedly stated that he wanted to play for the Canadiens, and it's rather strange to see that his salary demands are already known by many journalists. Could Pierre-Luc Dubois and his agent, Pat Brisson, have insinuated that he wanted to earn a salary around $9 million per season in order to deter some teams that were interested in acquiring his services?

Of course, this is only a hypothesis, but if the forward ends up being traded and signs a contract of 7 to 8 million, this could confirm many things!

Many fans seem opposed to the idea of seeing Pierre-Luc Dubois in the Canadiens uniform, especially if he commands a salary of $9 million, but would you be happy if the Canadiens acquired him and offered him an 8-year contract at $7.5 million annually?

One thing is certain, a conclusion should soon be announced and we are eagerly awaiting the next destination of the Quebecer
