We have seen mostly trade proposals coming from journalists and Montreal fans since the start of the rumors, but a new one was raised by a journalist who this time covers the activities of the Winnipeg Jets.
Recently, Murat Ates, who has very good sources within the Jets, presented a trade that could satisfy the team's expectations for Dubois.
However, he took care to specify that these two players would not conclude a trade for Dubois.
He adds that the perfect target would be Kirby Dach, but that he will certainly not be included in an offer by Kent Hughes.
However, he raised a completely disproportionate final proposal:
If including a guy like Dach to acquire the Quebecer is unthinkable, the fact of including the 5th overall pick AND Joshua Roy for him is completely insane, especially since the CH absolutely does not need another small left-handed defenseman in its organization.
It is clear that the two parties do not attribute the same trade value to the 24-year-old player, who does not even wish to agree with the Jets, for only one year.
We repeat, Winnipeg no longer has the upper hand in these negotiations, so it is disproportionate to believe that it can bring back a 5th overall pick.
