Carey Price's preferences may change over time, and his future plans are not yet determined. He may decide to continue to be involved in the world of hockey or prefer to spend his free time in other activities with his family.
The consulting role for the Montreal Canadiens could be an interesting option for Price, allowing him to stay involved in the sport while having more flexibility in his schedule. But this remains a personal decision that will depend on Carey Price's preferences and choices after retiring as a player.
Former Habs employee Marc Dumont made an interesting statement on this topic :
"I don't want to speak for him, but I feel like Carey Price is a person blessed with high-level athletic skills, but prefers to spend his time in the forest, whether for hunting or fishing.
And I have to say I understand that. Frankly, I'd rather hunt or fish too.
I don't think he wants to get involved in a full-time position, although a consulting job may be possible."
In any case, it is undeniable that Carey Price has made his mark on the history of the Montreal Canadiens and will always be a hero to the team's fans. His contribution as a goaltender has been essential on many occasions, and he has been an inspiring leader for the team and an entire generation of Habs fans.
