Kent Hughes finds himself facing a crucial decision regarding Danish goalie Frederik Dichow, as the deadline to offer him a contract is rapidly approaching, which is June 1, 2023.
The 22-year-old goalie recently shone at the World Hockey Championship, recording three wins in five games with a remarkable efficiency rate of .911 and a goals-against average of 2.35.
Many fans expected Kent Hughes to offer him a contract after Denmark's elimination, but that has not yet happened. Given that the Canadiens are still looking for a number one goalie, it would be strange to let go of a promising young talent like Frederik Dichow.
It remains to be seen if Kent Hughes will indeed offer him a contract in the coming days, but it will certainly be a file to closely monitor!
