In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have announced that forward Sean Monahan and defenseman Gustav Lindstrom will miss today's practice to receive treatments.
"Gustav Lindström and Sean Monahan will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)." - Montreal Canadiens
Considering the players had a day off yesterday, it's rather surprising to learn that Monahan will not be participating in the practice. We sincerely hope he's at 100% and will be ready for the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As for Gustav Lindstrom, the organization confirmed on Monday morning that he sustained a minor lower-body injury and would be evaluated on a daily basis. However, Martin St-Louis indicated he was confident that the defenseman would return in time for the start of the regular season.
