Last hour: Carey Price responds to Elizabeth Rancourt's controversial comments about him
At the end of June, the host at TVA Sports, Elizabeth Rancourt, had made some rather controversial comments about Carey Price during her appearance on the "Solemn" podcast. Indeed, she had mentioned that the Montreal Canadiens' goalie did not like hockey and that he only played because he was talented and had a lucrative contract in hand.
There is no need to mention that her comments sparked numerous reactions on social media. Many fans were furious to see such accusations against the Canadiens' goalie, especially since he has given everything to the organization over the last fifteen years.
However, Carey Price was back in Montreal this week, having notably participated in the organization's traditional golf tournament, and he kind of responded to Elizabeth Rancourt's allegations. During his press conference to announce his collaboration with CF Moto, the Tricolore's goalie admitted that he would miss hockey enormously, adding that the adrenaline that the games at the Bell Centre bring is in no way replaceable.
Although he was not directly addressing Elizabeth Rancourt, Carey Price completely denied the accusations she had put forward. Clearly, the Habs goaltender loved playing for the Montreal Canadiens, and the only thing stopping him from continuing to guard the goals currently is his terrible injury to the right knee.
Honestly, we had no doubt about his love for hockey as well as the organization, but we can now confirm with certainty that Carey Price greatly appreciated his career with the Habs. If he was fully healthy right now, he would definitely be on the ice with his teammates, looking forward to the next season.
