Last-minute signing in the Canadiens organization: A forward signs a one-season contract with the Trois-Rivières Lions and it is Matthew Boucher
Another signing has just been announced in the Montreal Canadiens organization as Philippe Boucher's son, Matthew Boucher, signed a one-season deal with the Trois-Rivières Lions for the upcoming season.
"Matthew Boucher will join the ranks of the Trois-Rivières Lions for the season starting next October 20th!
The forward will contribute with his speed, energy, and leadership to achieve the goals set by Pascal Rhéaume's organization." - Lions of Trois-Rivières
This is a great addition for the Trois-Rivières team, which can now count on a top-notch forward to complete its first two lines.
Indeed, in his last three seasons with the Utah Grizzlies and the Iowa Heartlanders, the 25-year-old left-winger scored a total of 43 goals and 41 assists (84 points) in 87 games in the ECHL.
The former captain of the Quebec Remparts also played 50 games with the Belleville Senators last year, collecting 16 points during his stint in the American league.
