The Vancouver Canucks have recently placed former Canadiens' first-round pick, Noah Juulsen, on waivers. This announcement surprised many fans of the team, given the good moments he had experienced, especially in defense, before being injured.
At the age of 26, Juulsen is currently earning the NHL minimum salary of $750,000 per year, and he is now available to be acquired for free.
Do you think Juulsen will be claimed? He could be an interesting addition as a depth defenseman for a team preparing for the playoffs.
The Canucks' decision to place Juulsen on waivers seems curious given that the trade deadline has passed and they could have simply kept him.
However, this could be a great opportunity for another team to acquire a solid player without having to spend money or assets.

Also, the Canadiens have also recalled forward Lucas Condotta from the Laval Rocket. This season, he registered 30 points in 71 games.
