In recent hours, the Winnipeg Jets announced that Quebec-born forward Jeffrey Viel has been placed on the NHL waivers, even though he had signed a one-season contract with the organization this summer.

The former forward for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan had an excellent season in his last year in the QMJHL, racking up an impressive total of 39 goals and 23 assists (62 points) in 58 games in 2017-2018.
However, since starting his professional career, the 26-year-old forward has played only 49 games (five points) with the San Jose Sharks in the NHL.
Standing at 6'2" and weighing close to 205 pounds, the left-winger born in Rimouski had success with the Sharks' farm team, the San Jose Barracuda, last year. Indeed, he collected 31 points in 60 games, while also accumulating 152 penalty minutes.
In your opinion, should Kent Hughes claim him to provide assistance to Arber Xhekaj and Michael Pezzetta?
