New Player Targeted as Possible Linemate of Suzuki and Caufield
The journalist assigned to cover the Montreal Canadiens for The Athletic, Arpon Basu, answered to a question regarding the possible line combinations for the upcoming season by Martin St-Louis.
He revealed something very interesting by placing an unexpected player to join the inseparable duo of Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
Basu put Kent Hughes' new summer acquisition, Alex Newhook, to play on the team's first line.
Here are the attacking units he came up with:
Caufield - Suzuki - Newhook
Slafkovsky - Dach - Anderson
Armia - Monahan - Gallagher
Ylonen - Evans - Harvey-Pinard
Basu believes that the organization will give Newhook the best possible chance to prove himself with his new team.
It could certainly be a fascinating experience to follow during the training camp next September.
"I really believe he will have his chance (to play with Suzuki and Caufield) during the preseason schedule."
Arpon Basu
Newhook's speed is one of his strengths, and he could complement the strong points of his potential future trio partners.
We are eager to see this combination in action!
