Panthers' forward made a very surprising revelation regarding the overtime periods
The first game of the series between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes was a true marathon. The two teams practically played seven full periods before Matthew Tkachuk finally put an end to the debate with a perfect shot in the upper part.
During his post-game interview on Sportsnet, the Panthers' forward notably revealed what the players had to consume during the overtime periods, in order to maintain their energy.
While it's not uncommon to see players eating oranges or bananas during games, they had to make a small exception to their diet by eating pizza and drinking Red Bull to try to stay awake.

Let's just say that Brandon Montour probably slept very well on Thursday night, as he played for over 57 minutes. That's practically the equivalent of a full game spent on the ice.
