RUMOR: a trade is reportedly pending with the Montreal Canadiens, and the name of the involved player would be Casey DeSmith
An article that was published in the last few hours by journalist Jonathan Bernier of the Journal de Montréal has greatly caught our attention, as it contained a very interesting detail regarding an upcoming trade with the Canadiens.
Here's what Bernier mentioned:
'A source within the Tricolore's management confirmed to the Journal two weeks ago that another transaction was expected to be announced in the days following the one that sent Petry back home to Michigan. We're still waiting.
In fact, we have a good idea that it will involve DeSmith.'

We therefore learn that another transaction was supposed to be concluded in the days following the one that sent Jeff Petry to the Detroit Red Wings. Moreover, with no real surprise as we obtained the information that Jake Allen would stay in Montreal, Casey DeSmith's days with the Canadiens would indeed be numbered.
He would be the next to leave the organization, and everything seems to indicate that this could happen by training camp.
This will therefore be a file to follow in the coming days.
