For the past few weeks, the Montreal Canadiens have been linked to talented NCAA goalkeeper Yaniv Perets, whose impressive statistics are being highlighted. It is rare to find a goalkeeper as performant as him, especially one available for free. In fact, he has an exceptional average of 1.49 in 41 games, with 34 wins and only 4 losses, and a save percentage of 0.931.
He has had a remarkable season, which had attracted the interest of the Kent Hughes team, but news has just come in: Yaniv Perets has unfortunately slipped away from the Montreal Canadiens.
According to information relayed by Kevin Weekes, he has recently signed a two-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, which will give him the opportunity to make the professional leap.
It's really regrettable because he could have been a real bargain:
In 2021-2022, he had a save percentage of 0.939, with a record of 22-5-2. This season, he maintained a save percentage of 0.931, with a record of 34-4-3.
Indeed, it seems like the Carolina Hurricanes have made a big move.
We'll have to wait and see!
