The NHL has released its final rankings for the highly anticipated 2023 draft in the last few moments.
As expected, Connor Bedard is the top prospect on this list.

The real surprise comes from the first ranking. Most experts believe that there is a clearly defined top-6 for the upcoming draft, with players such as Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov, Smith, and Benson.
However, according to the official scouting central of the National Hockey League, Zach Benson is curiously ranked behind Wood and Leonard, and possibly even behind Dvorsky and Sale.
This is a major surprise, due to his small size of 5 feet 10 inches. If Benson slips out of the top-8, it could become a real steal. This is definitely a situation to watch closely.
