Over the past few weeks, numerous rumors have suggested the possibility that the head coach of the Quebec Remparts, Patrick Roy, might make a return to the NHL. His name has notably been associated with the New York Rangers multiple times, who recently dismissed Gerard Gallant.
However, during the podcast 32 Thoughts hosted by none other than Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek, a new team from the Bettman circuit was mentioned. Indeed, it's the Columbus Blue Jackets who have just had a dreadful season with a meager harvest of 59 points in 82 games.
Patrick Roy is already in his 13th season at the helm of the Quebec Remparts. The experience he has gained with the players from the QMJHL in recent years could certainly be beneficial with a team like the Blue Jackets who rely on many young players.
Elliotte Friedman even mentioned that Roy would be very interested in getting a new opportunity in the NHL as a head coach.
Do you believe that the head coach of the Remparts could help Columbus in their reconstruction?
