Unfortunately, Nela Lopuanová, who is considered the most promising prospect in women's hockey and possibly capable of shaking up the hockey world by being selected in the National Hockey League, suffered a serious injury. Although she continues to impress on the ice, even in men's hockey, she must put her ambitions on hold.
During the recently played Under-16 World Championship, she fell victim to a blindside hit by an opponent, leaving her unable to get back up and requiring a six-week rest period. You can watch the footage of the incident below:
According to some observers, it appears that Nela Lopuanová was brutally shaken by opposing players throughout the game. Some even go as far as to claim that she was specifically targeted physically because she was too dominant.
Unfortunately, this led to her injury and put an end to another impressive performance from her. We all hope that she will recover soon, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
