The Montreal Canadiens' rookie camp will start in about ten days, where we will finally get the chance to see several promising young players from the organization in action. We will also be able to watch some interesting hockey games with these players during the rookie tournament.
While we will be able to assess the gameplay and development of young players such as David Reinbacher, Joshua Roy, Filip Mesar, Owen Beck, Logan Mailloux, and several others, some wondered if we would also get the chance to see the highly talented Lane Hutson and the promising goaltender Jacob Fowler.
Unfortunately for fans, because these two prospects come from the NCAA and are not under contract with the team, they cannot participate in this event. They obviously will not be able to take part in the Canadiens' main training camp either.
We'll have to wait for Hutson, who should play his last college season this year. As for Fowler, it might take another two or three years before he joins the Canadiens' organization.
