Two big surprises among the available goalies for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens
Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are working hard to strengthen the team for the upcoming season, and here is an interesting list of the top five available goalies for the Montreal Canadiens.
These five goalies could be excellent additions for Samuel Montembeault. Here they are, along with their statistics:
1- Frederik Andersen, a 33-year-old goalies with a career save percentage of 0.915 in the NHL.
2- Tristan Jarry, a 27-year-old goalies with a career save percentage of 0.914 in the NHL.
3- Joonas Korpisalo, a very agile 28-year-old goalies with a save percentage of 0.921 and a 2.13 goals against average since the trade deadline.
4- MacKenzie Blackwood, a 26-year-old goalies with huge potential and a save percentage close to 0.920 before being hit by injuries.
5- Semyon Varlamov, a 34-year-old goalie who maintained a 0.913 save percentage this season with the New York Islanders.
If you were the GM of the Montreal Canadiens, which of these goalies would you target?
According to us, the two most interesting names on this list are Blackwood and Korpisalo, who will both be available as free agents this summer. This means that Kent Hughes could sign them without giving up anything in return, which would be an excellent deal for the team.
