We now know why Valeri Nichushkin left the Avalanche escorted by security
There is currently a mystery that intrigues the National Hockey League community, and new information has emerged regarding Valeri Nichushkin.
As a reminder, after Game #3 between the Colorado Avalanche and the Kraken in Seattle, Nichushkin left the team suddenly for personal reasons, and it was not related to an injury or disciplinary action. However, the reasons for his unexpected departure remain unknown and are the subject of speculation in the NHL community.
According to the information available so far, it appears that Nichushkin left the team urgently, escorted by security to Seattle airport, where he took a flight to an unknown destination. Frank Seravalli recently published revelations about this situation...
"I'm working on this story. It's difficult because we have to draw lines between a player's personal life and what can be publicly revealed.
From what I understand, there was an alcohol-related incident that occurred, and I don't know what the next steps are and I don't know how serious it is, but it's clear that something happened at the team hotel on Friday night, and it required the Avalanche organization to get involved.
There's something going on, I don't have all the details, but I'm working on it."
It seems that Frank Seravalli is working to determine what he can or cannot publicly disclose regarding Nichushkin's situation, while respecting his privacy.
It has also been reported that Nichushkin is not expected to return to the team in the short term and will likely be absent for an extended period. However, the reasons for his prolonged absence are still not publicly known.
