A defenseman associated with the Montreal Canadiens' farm team officially left the Laval Rocket a few hours ago.

Indeed, Brady Keeper has packed his bags for the Old Continent, where he will have the chance to play in Slovakia.

«Good luck in Slovakia, Brady!» - Laval Rocket

Several of his former teammates have chosen this destination to continue their professional careers.

Keeper, a prospect for the Montreal Canadiens, played as a right-handed defenseman. With a stature of 6 feet 2 inches and 197 pounds, he made a good impression during last year's Canadiens training camp.

Brady Keeper leaves the Montreal Canadiens' organization

In the 2023-24 season, he accumulated 4 points in 22 games with the Laval Rocket, while maintaining a positive plus-minus rating of +1 and notching up 53 penalty minutes. He was a good supporting defenseman, physical, reliable, and a solid insurance policy for Jean-François Houle's squad. Given the impressive array of talents drafted by the team over the past five years, it's clear that spots were limited for Keeper looking ahead to the next campaign.

Keeper also accumulated 108 penalty minutes and 18 points in 61 games during the 2020 season with the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Florida Panthers' farm team.

The defenseman had a brief stint in the NHL, having played with the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL).

We wish him the best of luck in Slovakia with HK Poprad.

Further details will follow.
