Enormous statement on Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael Hage
According to one of the prospect experts from DailyFaceoff, Steven Ellis, the team led by Kent Hughes has acquired another top-10 talent from this year's draft in addition to Ivan Demidov.
It's the 21st pick of the Canadiens, Michael Hage.
The vast majority of hockey analysts agree that the Canadiens had a very successful draft, but analyst Steven Ellis also adds that selecting Michael Hage is probably a stroke of genius.
According to Steven Ellis, Michael Hage would be a top-10 talent overall. He even adds that the young 6-foot-1 forward could become an impactful player in the NHL.
"According to Steven Ellis, had it not been for his injury last season, the Canadiens' prospect could have possibly been selected in the top 10 on June 28." - Marqueur
Here are his exact words:
"I truly believe that the Montreal Canadiens stole Michael Hage at 21st overall.
If it weren't for his injury, he could have contended for a spot in the top 10 overall. He is a natural scorer with a good skating stride and he likes to hit.
I want him to gain some weight and learn to use his size a bit more, but I think there are good chances he becomes the team's number 2 center in the future."
- Steven Ellis
Hage seems to be the type of player the organization has been looking for a long time. Versatile, complete, tall, big, fast, and physical.
He accumulated a solid 75 points in 54 games last season with the Chicago Steel, including 43 points in his last 25 games.
