Former Habs goalie Carey Price is in Montreal and we know the reason of his visit
Entrepreneur Angela Price had confirmed it to us via her personal page, but her husband Carey Price is back in the metropolis. The former Montreal Canadiens star has arrived in Montreal to kick off the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
No great surprise, we can expect the number 31 goaltender to have made his way to Montreal a few days before the first regular season game at the Bell Centre.
The story doesn't tell whether he is here with his entire family or if he's alone for now. However, we can undoubtedly say that it is fantastic news to see that he made sure to arrive early to experience the excitement of a new campaign for the Habs.
We can also expect Carey Price to spend time with his successor as the team's starting goaltender, Quebec native Samuel Montembeault.
Carey Price is currently in Montreal and was seen at an autograph signing event
Price made many young children happy today. At least, that's what the website HabsOnReddit reported:
«Carey Price is present at an autograph signing event in Montreal today.»
We recognize the generosity of the Montreal Canadiens' great star. Even though he hasn't played in some time, he remains a familiar and beloved face to fans of the Habs.
«A dream come true!»
Recognized as one of the greatest Finnish players in hockey history, forward Teemu Selanne attended the autograph session earlier today.
Carey Price, 37 years old, is listed as one of the best goaltenders in Montreal Canadiens history. In 712 career games, he maintained a goals-against average of 2.51 and a save percentage of 0.917. These stats speak volumes and can spark the conversation about his status as an exceptional goaltender.
As for his record, it includes 361 wins, 261 losses, and 79 overtime losses. He earned 49 shutouts during his career.
It remains to be seen whether the organization will share the news at the home opener with the number 31.
Do you think he will be introduced to the Bell Centre crowd at the opening game?
