The Pittsburgh Penguins made significant roster moves today by placing several players on waivers, including Quebec native Samuel Poulin.

Poulin, who had a strong season in the AHL with 31 points in 41 games, will report to the Penguins' affiliate in the AHL if he is not claimed by another team by noon tomorrow.

Defenseman Ethan Bear, formerly of the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers, is also attracting attention from several teams due to his experience and solid defensive play.

Here are some other players placed on waivers by various NHL teams:

- Jansen Harkins (Anaheim Ducks)
- Mikey DiPietro, Vinni Lettieri, and Jordan Oesterle (Boston Bruins)
- Will Lockwood (Florida Panthers)
- Brandon Lycksell, Elliot Richard (Philadelphia Flyers)
- Joona Koppanen, Samuel Poulin (Pittsburgh Penguins)
- Matt Tomkins (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Goalies Mikey DiPietro and Matt Tomkins, both of whom have represented Team Canada, are also on this list, drawing attention for their past performances.

It is important to note that all the players placed on waivers yesterday went through the process without being claimed, and they will return to their respective AHL teams.

The Montreal Canadiens, holding a top-five priority in waiver claims, have not yet made any moves in relation to these waivers. However, it will be interesting to see if GM Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton take action in the coming days, especially with the injuries that have affected the team.
