There are players who, even before announcing their retirement, know that the doors to the Hockey Hall of Fame are wide open for them.

This is the case for Patrice Bergeron, who, in addition to being an undisputed leader and an outstanding hockey player, has won a Stanley Cup and no less than six Selke Trophies, awarded to the best defensive forward in the league. It's a record that we're unlikely to see achieved again.

At 38 years old, Bergeron retired this summer, but there have been rumors that he might reconsider and make a comeback with the Bruins.

Pierre LeBrun spoke with him, and Patrice's response is very clearhe is content with his decision. He is at peace.

Despite the Bruins' historic season last year, which ended with an early elimination in the first round, many thought that witnessing the team's success at the beginning of this season might reignite Patrice's passion.

However, that's not the case. It's not a matter of passion. A player must know when the right time is to retire, and for him, it was the right time.
