Trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes: it would involve one of the three CH goaltenders
Since the training camp, there have been reports that several teams are interested in the Canadiens' goaltenders, especially Cayden Primeau. This is why he wasn't placed on waivers.
It's been almost a month since the season started, and a young goalie is freezing from not playing and not progressing. However, this situation could change quickly.
According to Pierre LeBrun, the Carolina Hurricanes are actively looking for a goaltender due to Frederik Andersen's precarious health condition. A condition that should keep him out of the game for a while, but from which he should fully recover.
Their GM, Don Waddell, is in negotiations with the Canadiens and the Red Wings.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the Hurricanes are targeting Samuel Montembeault, Jake Allen, or Cayden Primeau, and whether they are willing to pay the price asked by Kent Hughes.
