Serious injury to Jonathan Drouin: he opens up and it's striking
Jonathan Drouin hasn't had much luck towards the end of the season, having suffered a significant leg injury.
The forward missed almost a month of action due to this injury, and he made his debut for game number 4 against the Dallas Stars, where he got an assist in a 5-1 loss.
In an interview, Jo opened up about this injury and how he experienced it. I admire his transparency. You can really feel what he's going through when he speaks like this.
"It was tough, after almost a month of absence. I couldn't really move, so coming straight into the playoffs was difficult. But as the game progressed, I felt more comfortable. It was terrible. But all athletes have their share of adversities. The first days were mentally tough, to be honest, but I went to rehab to make it better."

Remember that Drouin did not participate in the playoffs in 2021 with the Canadiens
It's certain that for a player looking to sign a more lucrative contract next season, and also to participate in the playoffs for the first time in a long time, it must not be easy to get injured like that in the last game of the regular season.
The Avalanche finally won Wednesday night, and the series is led 3-2 by Dallas. It's a very involved Jo Drouin who took part in the game, and that's very good news.
Jonathan had his best season ever, with a total of 56 points. He will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1st, unless he agrees with the Avalanche before then.
He was the biggest bargain in the League this season, among players who are not on their entry-level contract, in terms of salary per point.
