A very concerning scene occurred as the captain of the Red Wings collapsed on the ice
A really concerning scene unfolded in the matchup between the Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators.
In what appeared to be a routine play, a battle in front of the net resulted in a player collapsing on the ice.
Indeed, Dylan Larkin fell, visibly unconscious, after receiving a cross-check to the upper back. It doesn't seem to be a dirty hit, just a normal battle for the front of the net in hockey.
It's unfortunate for Larkin, and we truly hope he will recover quickly. He needed the assistance of his teammates to make his way back to the locker room.
It's a scene no one likes to witness in hockey. The good news is that he left the ice on his own two feet.
