There is controversy in the hockey world involving Connor McDavid, who became the first player in history not to return to the ice to pose with the Conn Smythe Trophy after losing.

Personally, I imagine the disappointment was very strong for him, and receiving an individual award was probably unimaginable at that moment, so I can understand his gesture. However, not everyone shares this view.

McDavid is being criticized for a lack of class and all sorts of names, as if his actions were unacceptable. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I suppose.

However, he made a very strong gesture that unfortunately went unnoticed.

After the defeat, he acted like a true captain. He was the first to shake hands with the Panthers players and also the last from his team to leave the ice.

While he certainly wanted to head to the locker room as soon as possible, he showed leadership.

He also demonstrated that despite his dominance, he is a team player, and only the Stanley Cup, won with his teammates, was important to him.

"Connor McDavid waited for every Oiler to go through the handshake line before leaving the ice.

Left it all out there"

We can stop judging him for not returning to the ice to pose with the Conn Smythe Trophy. McDavid is a leader, a team guy, and he acted with that mentality.
