We all know the extraordinary skills of Connor McDavid, who never ceases to amaze us with his prowess on the ice.

However, it's in the crucial moments that he needs to be at his best, and he demonstrated that tonight.

Indeed, the Oilers' captain is on a mission, and he decided to take matters into his own hands.

With his team leading the series against the Dallas Stars 3-2, he chose the perfect moment to dazzle the crowd in Edmonton with a stunning goal.

This is exactly what we want to see from the captain at such a crucial moment, and he delivers.

No seventh game in Edmonton for McDavid; he wants to finish the job tonight and move on to the Stanley Cup Final.

Notably, if the Oilers win tonight and secure the Cup against the Florida Panthers, they will be the first Canadian team to win the trophy since the Canadiens in 1993.

It would also be the first time a Canadian team wins the Cup with Gary Bettman as the full-season commissioner.

Although he was the commissioner during the Canadiens' 1993 Stanley Cup win, Bettman only took office on February 1 of the 1992-93 season.
