The big return of Corey Perry has just been announced
If the Oilers win their series against the Stars, Corey Perry will be participating in his 4th Stanley Cup Final in 5 years with a 4th different team.
The only downside is that he hasn't won the Cup during this time, but he will certainly want to change that this year. The only problem is that his coach has benched him for several games.
Indeed, there were even rumors that Perry might have played his last game in the NHL, which I find premature considering his team is still alive.
According to Edmonton journalist Mark Spector, Perry will return to the lineup on the third line. This would be quite a turnaround and excellent news for the forward.

Perry thrives in important moments like these. He's a very good playoff player, as we saw in Montreal in 2021.
He remains friends with young players in the organization, notably Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
If he does indeed return to the lineup after being benched for several games, I expect him to play with great intensity. Perry can make a difference in a game.
We will find out very soon, as the Oilers and the Stars face off tonight. As for Perry's future, I believe his performance at the end of this season will greatly impact the possibility of him signing another contract for next year.
