A Montreal Canadiens prospect receives a significant honor as a goaltender, which is great news for Joe Vrbetic
You should never underestimate a player's development, especially for defensemen and goalkeepers, as they may take more time to reach their full potential.
How many players were drafted late or, even worse, never drafted, and went on to have a successful career? The Canadiens' coach is a perfect example of that.
The Canadiens chose not to extend the contract of their prospect Joe Vrbetic this summer. However, Vrbetic has continued his journey with the Trois-Rivières Lions, so he is still technically part of the Canadiens' organization.
Joe is having a fantastic start to the season, just like the entire team. He was named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week.
This is a testament to his hard work, especially considering that just a few weeks ago, he was without a contract. Congratulations to Joe!
