This season, we had an example involving fans of the Canadiens when Vincent Desharnais received death threats after the defenseman got into a fight with Arber Xhekaj.
Unfortunately, we have once again been victims of a completely disgraceful act. Indeed, a Hurricanes fan made threats against the Panthers players, forcing the police to escort the team upon their arrival at the airport in Florida.
Defenseman Radko Gudas was particularly targeted by threats on social media, requiring personal security escort to ensure his safety.
In a picture posted on Twitter, one can see Radko Gudas' personal address along with a homemade bomb, implying that the fan in question intended to harm the Panthers defenseman and his family.
Fortunately, the threats were quickly reported to the FBI and the police, who immediately took the necessary measures to ensure the team's security.
It is alarming to see that fans are willing to make such threats over a simple hockey game. Let's hope that the individual will be apprehended by the authorities.
This will undoubtedly be a case to follow in the coming days.
