A high draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens is in hot water
During his appearance on BPM Sports, following the conclusion of the Rookie Tournament, journalist Mathias Brunet gave his assessment on several prospects of the Montreal Canadiens organization.
In his criticisms towards some of the youngsters, the one who is most in hot water following this camp is Filip Mesar. Brunet and Martin Lemay were really not impressed by the level of play of the young Slovak.

Lemay wonders what the Canadiens saw in him when they picked him at the 26th spot, but especially over notably Jiri Kulich, who is certainly a player who would go in the top 10 of this draft, if it were to be redone today.

The host of the sports channel's afternoon show concludes by pointing out that the youngster's attitude is also very ordinary.

The journalist from La Presse chimes in by stating that for him, there is no doubt that he should return to the OHL next year.
It's hard not to agree with the comments of the two speakers regarding Mesar. Although it is just a tournament, the 19-year-old did nothing to showcase himself. The criticisms about him are always the same, he absolutely never gets involved in the key areas. He is a perimeter player who does not have the offensive talent to limit himself to this aspect of the game.
Having not impressed in the junior this year, and also not impressed at the Rookie Tournament, it remains to be seen what he will have to offer at the Canadiens' camp in a few days.
However, at the moment, I also believe that another campaign in the OHL is mandatory in his case, as he definitely did not dominate as he should have last year.
