A highly coveted defenseman withdraws from the free agent market
The information has just been confirmed, Los Angeles Kings' defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov has just signed a two-year contract extension, with an average annual salary of $5.875 million.
At 27 years old, he accumulated 19 points in 72 games this season, with the Columbus Blue Jackets, before being traded to L.A. at the trade deadline.
The Kings paid a high price yesterday to get rid of the contracts of Sean Walker and Cal Petersen, in order to make room on their payroll for this new agreement.
