A big piece of news concerning the most recent winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, Jonathan Marchessault, has just surfaced and it is likely to please many fans.
According to what has been reported by two people with some good sources in their circles, namely Marc Dumont, the former employee of the Canadiens, and Marc-Olivier Beaudoin, the Quebec forward has two preferred destinations at the end of the next season.
In the event that he does not extend his contract with the Vegas Golden Knights, he would want to sign with the Montreal organization to continue his career here.

Of course, it takes two to tango, which means that Kent Hughes will have to be interested in adding a veteran to properly surround his young lineup, but if the salary demands are interesting for the future of the Tricolore, Marchessault could certainly become an excellent acquisition by the General Manager.
